About This Community
Bellingen Shire Council has an approximate area of 1,600 km².
It is comprised of the suburbs of Bellingen, Bielsdown Hills, Bostobrick, Brierfield, Cascade, Deer Vale, Dorrigo, Dorrigo Mountain, Fernbrook, Fernmount, Gleniffer, Megan, Mylestom, Never Never, North Dorrigo, Raleigh, Repton, Spicketts Creek, Tallowwood Ridge, Thora, Urunga and Valery plus parts of Kennaicle Creek and Valla.
It is comprised of the localities of Darkwood and Kalang plus parts of Brinerville.
It is surrounded by the councils of Armidale Regional, Clarence Valley, Coffs Harbour and Nambucca.
It is within the state electorate of Oxley.
It is within the federal electorate of Cowper.
