It is comprised of the localities of Banca, Bridport, North Scottsdale, Ringarooma, Rushy Lagoon and Waterhouse plus parts of Gladstone, Mount William, Tayene and Upper Esk.
It is surrounded by the councils of Break O'day, George Town and Launceston City.
It is within the state electorate of Bass.
It is within the federal electorate of Bass.
