About This Community
Waratah-Wynyard Council has an approximate area of 3,500 km².
It is comprised of the suburbs of Boat Harbour, Boat Harbour Beach, Calder, Doctors Rocks, Elliott, Flowerdale, Henrietta, Lapoinya, Luina, Moorleah, Mount Hicks, Myalla, Oldina, Preolenna, Sisters Beach, Somerset, Table Cape, Takone, Wynyard and Yolla plus parts of Corinna, Meunna, Milabena, Oonah and Sisters Creek.
It is comprised of the localities of Guildford, Parrawe, Savage River and Waratah plus parts of West Coast and West Takone.
It is surrounded by the councils of Burnie City, Central Coast, Circular Head, Kentish and West Coast.
It is within the state electorate of Braddon.
It is within the federal electorate of Braddon.
