buttonJerilderie is located on the Newell Highway and is a major merino stud area. It is also the gateway to the Kidman Way, an 800 kilometre outback highway. Jerilderie's large agricultural industry includes olives, onions, cotton, canola, wool, cotton, beef, wheat and rice and there is also a tomato-processing factory in town. Jerilderie is the only New South Wales town visited by the bushranger Ned Kelly and his gang. You can learn more about the gang's exploits by following the Ned Kelly raid trail. Visit Jerilderie's Historic Homestead and Gardens (formerly Ye Old Bank of New South Wales) for an insight into the town's colonial history.
