buttonMaianbar and Bundeena are two small idyllic villages located on the beautiful Port Hacking River, south of Sydney. The seaside village of Bundeena is surrounded by rivers and beaches offering fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and bushwalking. Maianbar is separated from Bundeena by a few kilometres of Royal National Park and can be reached by a walking trail. At low tide you can walk across the bay from the Deeban Spit near Maianbar. Holiday and overnight accommodation is limited with a number of bed and breakfasts, and caravan and camping sites at Bonnie Vale campground in the Royal National Park. Access Maianbar by catching the ferry from Cronulla to Bundeena and walking around to Maianbar or drive through the Royal National Park - take the turnoff to Bundeena and then to Maianbar. On the first Sunday of the month enjoy the Bundeena Maianbar Art Trail, when local artist's studio doors are open to the public for a rare glimpse into the working life and their creative journeys.
