buttonIt's not uncommon to see lots of tractors at Turkey Beach - in front yards, parked on the street and in abundance at the boat ramp. These tractors don't belong to the farm; they belong to the sea and are busy ferrying boats to the water. Born out of beach shack beginnings, this quintessential sleepy fishing village is famous for its crabbing and fishing spots - you'll find some locals lurking around by the shore who you can get some hot tips from. Mangrove Jack is the most prized species sought after by anglers, but the area is renowned for regular catches of bream, flathead and the occasional cod. Turkey Beach is close to 1770 and Agnes Water, the Danube track branches off a few kilometres out of town and for Four Wheel Drive enthusiasts is a rough track which winds its way through Eurimbula National Park and reaches Agnes at the other side. This is a relatively undeveloped coastal town (one of the very few remaining) so unwind and relax and let the good time vibes of this town take over. If exploring the great outdoors is for you, then make Turkey Beach your launch pad.
