buttonWellington Point Recreation Reserve is one of Redlands Coast’s biggest draw cards, luring locals and visitors to a spectacular destination. Surrounded by coast on three sides, Wellington Point Reserve is popular for picnics, launching a boat into Moreton Bay, walking to King Island, or just sitting back and relaxing overlooking Moreton Bay. King Island (Erobin) is a magnet to visitors from across the region, Australia and the world. On low tide a sandbar emerges, creating a natural bridge from the mainland to your very own island paradise. And all without getting your feet wet! Children love the established playgrounds that weave among the shade of 90 year old Moreton Bay fig trees while the nearby café and dining offers award-winning menus and the patrolled swim area is a safe place for all ages. Wellington Point surrounds offers great fishing, either from boat or kayak, from one of a number of launching ramps. A variety of species take refuge among the mangroves at high tide and good catches are had from the shoreline and jetty during the day and at night.
