Bring your own gear and get started or let experienced instructors show you the way. A range of courses are offered locally and specialist gear is available in town. Cabin accommodation is available as well as campsites at the base of the rock, where adventurers from around the world swap tales of past climbs. It's not all just about the rock anymore. Linger for a while in the village and explore the restored heritage buildings and antiques shops, craft boutiques and the regular Natimuk Farmers Market. Natimuk's Heritage Trail offers a detailed view of the town's list of preserved nineteenth century architecture and historic sites. Soak up the creative vibes of the relatively high number of resident artists and join in the festivities at the biennale Nati Frinj festival. Savour the fresh country air on a walk along the tracks that follow Natimuk Creek. Head towards Lake Natimuk and relax with views of the lake and Mount Arapiles. Set up camp at the caravan park and then cast a line off the fishing jetty. Natimuk is 324 kilometres from Melbourne, or about three-and-a-half hours by car along the Western Highway.
