Gwydir Community

Gwydir Council has an approximate area of 9,300 km².

It is comprised of the suburbs of Back Creek, Gundamulda and Upper Bingara.

It is comprised of the localities of Balfours Peak, Bangheet, Bingara, Blue Nobby, Boonal, Cobbadah, Crooble, Dinoga, Elcombe, Gineroi, Gulf Creek, Keera, North Star, Pallal, Warialda, Warialda Rail, Whitlow and Yallaroi plus parts of 14 localities including Barraba, Biniguy, Bundarra, Coolatai, Copeton, Croppa Creek and Delungra.

It is surrounded by the councils of Armidale Regional, Inverell, Moree Plains, Narrabri, Tamworth Regional and Uralla.

It is within the state electorate of Northern Tablelands.

It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of New England and Parkes.
