Oberon Community

Oberon Council has an approximate area of 3,600 km².

It is comprised of the suburbs of Arkstone, Ballyroe, Burraga, Chatham Valley, Dog Rocks, Duckmaloi, Edith, Gilmandyke, Gurnang, Hazelgrove, Jaunter, Jeremy, Jerrong, Judds Creek, Mayfield, Mount David, Mount Olive, Mozart, Norway, Porters Retreat, Shooters Hill, The Meadows and Twenty Forests plus parts of 5 suburbs including Charlton, O'connell, Rockley, The Lagoon and Wisemans Creek.

It is comprised of the localities of Black Springs, Essington, Gingkin, Isabella, Jenolan, Kanangra, Oberon and Paling Yards plus parts of Bald Ridge, Ganbenang, Mount Werong, Tarana and Triangle Flat.

It is surrounded by the councils of Bathurst Regional, Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Upper Lachlan Shire and Wollondilly.

It is within the state electorate of Bathurst.

It is within the federal electorate of Calare.
