About This Community
Snowy Monaro Council has an approximate area of 15,000 km².
It is comprised of 65 suburbs including Ando, Anglers Reach, Arable, Avonside, Beloka, Bibbenluke, Billilingra, Binjura, Boco, Bombala, Braemar Bay, Buckenderra, Bukalong, Bumbalong, Bunyan, Cambalong, Carlaminda, Clear Range, Colinton, Coolringdon, Coolumbooka, Cooma, Crackenback, Craigie and Creewah plus parts of another 5 suburbs.
It is comprised of 39 localities including Adaminaby, Anembo, Badja, Berridale, Bobundara, Bolaro, Bondi Forest, Bredbo, Bungarby, Byadbo Wilderness, Chakola, Cootralantra, Corrowong, Countegany, Dalgety, Delegate, Glen Allen, Ingebirah, Jerangle, Jimenbuen, Kosciuszko National Park, Kybeyan, Michelago, Mila and Moonbah plus parts of another 4 localities.
It is surrounded by the councils of Bega Valley, Canberra, East Gippsland Shire, Eurobodalla, Queanbeyan-palerang and Snowy Valleys.
It is within the state electorate of Monaro.
It is within the federal electorate of Eden-monaro.
