About This Community
Northern Areas Council has an approximate area of 3,000 km².
It is comprised of the suburbs of Beetaloo Valley, Belalie North, Broughton River Valley, Bundaleer Gardens, Bundaleer North, Caltowie North, Caltowie West, Euromina, Hacklins Corner, Hornsdale, Laura, Mayfield, Washpool and West Bundaleer plus parts of Canowie Belt, Huddleston, Stone Hut and Yatina.
It is comprised of the localities of Andrews, Belalie, Belalie East, Booyoolie, Bundaleer, Caltowie, Georgetown, Gladstone, Gulnare, Jamestown, Mannanarie, Narridy, Reynolds, Spalding, Yacka, Yackamoorundie and Yangya plus parts of Appila, Howe, Tarcowie and Whyte.
It is surrounded by the councils of Clare And Gilbert Valleys, Goyder Regional, Mount Remarkable District, Orroroo Carrieton District, Peterborough District, Port Pirie Regional and Wakefield Regional.
It is comprised of parts of the state electorates of Frome and Stuart.
It is within the federal electorate of Grey.
