About This Community
Corangamite Council has an approximate area of 4,400 km².
It is comprised of 45 suburbs including Boorcan, Bostocks Creek, Bradvale, Brucknell, Bullaharre, Camperdown, Chocolyn, Cobden, Cobrico, Cowleys Creek, Curdies River, Dixie, Duverney, Elingamite, Elingamite North, Foxhow, Glenfyne, Glenormiston South, Gnotuk, Heytesbury Lower, Jancourt, Kariah, Kennedys Creek, Koallah and Larralea plus parts of another 26 suburbs.
It is comprised of the localities of Bookaar, Cooriemungle, Derrinallum, Leslie Manor, Lismore, Princetown, Simpson and Vite Vite North plus parts of Darlington, Skipton and Werneth.
It is surrounded by the councils of Ararat Rural City, Colac Otway Shire, Golden Plains Shire, Moyne Shire and Pyrenees Shire.
It is within the state electorate of Polwarth.
It is within the federal electorate of Wannon.
