It is comprised of the suburbs of Halls Creek, Mcbeath and Warmun.

It is comprised of the localities of Ord River, Purnululu, Sturt Creek and Tanami plus parts of Mueller Ranges.

It is surrounded by the councils of Derby-west Kimberley, East Pilbara, Victoria Daly Region and Wyndham-east Kimberley.

It is within the state electorate of Kimberley.

It is within the federal electorate of Durack.
