The federal electorate of Fadden has an approximate area of 390 km².
It is comprised of the suburbs of Alberton, Arundel, Coomera, Gaven, Gilberton, Hope Island, Jacobs Well, Molendinar, Norwell, Parkwood, Stapylton and Steiglitz plus parts of 14 suburbs including Biggera Waters, Coombabah, Helensvale, Hollywell, Labrador, Ormeau, Oxenford, Pacific Pines, Paradise Point, Pimpama, Runaway Bay, South Stradbroke and Southern Moreton Bay Islands.
It is adjacent to the locality of North Stradbroke Island.
It is within the council of Gold Coast.
It is comprised of parts of the state electorates of Bonney, Broadwater, Coomera, Gaven, Southport and Theodore.
It is surrounded by the federal electorates of Bowman, Forde, Moncrieff and Wright.
