It is surrounded by the localities of Hindmarsh, Noarlunga, Onkaparinga, Stirling and Yatala.

It is comprised of the councils of Burnside City, Campbelltown City, Mitcham City, The City Of Norwood Payneham And St Peters, Unley City and West Torrens City plus parts of Adelaide City, Adelaide Hills and Marion City.

It is comprised of the state electorates of Ashford, Hartley, Unley, Waite and West Torrens plus parts of Adelaide, Bragg, Colton, Davenport, Dunstan, Elder, Morialta and Morphett.

It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Adelaide, Boothby, Hindmarsh, Mayo and Sturt.
