About Us
Fitness has been at the heart of the Belconnen Community Centre (BCC) since it was first built in 1986. While the Centre has seen changes over the years, with the squash court replaced by a 144 seat theatre and the weights room developed into an art workshop, the importance of the BCC fitness program has never diminished.
The current gym has been a cornerstone of the facility for over twenty years, providing a range of group exercise classes for the community. The classes are suitable for people of all fitness levels and abilities, with many classes specifically tailored to suit mature participants hoping to maintain and improve their fitness in later life.
The BCC Fitness program offers publicly accessible classes on weekdays. Classes are structured to meet a variety of needs, with classes focusing on gentle exercise, machine-weights, free weights, and aerobic cardiovascular exercise. Classes are suitable for people of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
The BCC Fitness program is a low-cost fitness option, with no membership fees, affordable classes and a flexible multi-class card system.
