About Us
FDS provides support to families and friends affected by alcohol and other drug issues:
24/7 Telephone Support Line: 1300 368 186
Family Drug Support provides a national twenty-four-hour, seven-day-a-week telephone helpline for family members & friends of people with alcohol or other drug issues.
Support Meetings
Non-religious, open meetings for family members and friends affected by drugs and alcohol. Open to anyone and providing opportunities to talk and listen to others in a non-judgemental, safe environment.
Stepping Stones
An intensive short course for family members and friends who are supporting someone with drug and/or alcohol problems.
The course brings people together with similar challenges and enables participants to find new ways of coping.
Stepping Forward
A short course that provides clear and practical information and a safe place to share and feel supported for family members and friends of people with alcohol and/or other drug problems.
A series of educational and interactive sessions covering drug and alcohol related topics such as:
- Families’ stages of change;
- Effective communication;
- Alcohol & other drugs information;
- Drug & alcohol treatment options;
- Setting workable boundaries;
- Dealing with conflict; and
- Families & Ice.
You can attend one or multiple of sessions.

Via video call family members and friends can gain support with our through our online platform - SAGE FM Family Drug Support
