Search Light Early Learning Centre

The Search Light Early Learning Centre is located onsite at Carinity Education – Southside, an independent secondary school in Sunnybank for young women who have found mainstream education not suited to their needs. Our Centre provides early education, childcare and family support services to young mothers enabling them to complete their secondary education while pregnant and parenting.

We operate an early intervention Parenting Program that educates and supports young mothers through engaging them in a range of activities and programs that promote children’s health, development, learning, safety and well-being and encourage positive family functioning.

Our programs and activities are targeted at improving educational outcomes for marginalised children and young people and promoting positive family functioning. This includes programs to promote education, resilience, relationships, life skills, mental health, nutrition, general health and wellbeing.
