For more than twenty years, CHARLTON BROWN® has been recognised as Australia’s leading education and placement service provider in the care industry. We are an approved provider of In Home Care (IHC) which was introduced in June 2001 as a flexible form of child care designed to accommodate the needs of families unable to access mainstream child care.

The IHC Scheme has eligibility criteria that families must meet to access this service which will need to be demonstrated in writing.  Below is the list of eligibility requirements for the families targeted under this scheme:

1.      have no access to existing child care services; or

2.      their circumstances mean that an existing child care service cannot meet their needs;

and at least one of the following criteria also applies:

1.      the child has, or lives with another child who has, an illness or a disability;

2.      the child's guardian (or guardian's partner) has an illness or disability that affects their ability to care for the child;

3.      the child lives in a rural or remote area;

4.      the work hours of the child's guardian (or guardian's partner) are hours when no other approved child care service is available; or

5.      the child's guardian (or guardian's partner) is caring for three or more children who have not yet started school.

Please note: CHARLTON BROWN® has standard hours from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Non-standard hours are outside of these times.

If you meet this eligibility then our Agency may be able to assist you.  To begin a search for a carer to match your requirements, you will need to complete Registration Form and pay a Registration Fee.  This fee is a once-off, non-refundable Registration Fee of $99.00 and gives you life-long access to our Agency placement service. 

Charge-out rate for CHARLTON BROWN® Nannies

The charge-out rate will vary according to the requirements of your position.  The rate for your position will be affected by:

·       Age and number of children

·       Special need requirements

·       Number and types of duties required

·       Age and experience of the nanny

·       Overnight rate available

For eligible families, CHARLTON BROWN®  uses your Child Care Benefit(CCB) to reduce the cost of your child care fees. The amount that you pay may be rebated back to you through your Child Care Rebate (CCR).
