Nundah Neighbourhood Centre

The aim of the Nundah Community Centre is to enable and support local people to respond to their individual, family and community issues, and in the process nurture a sense of community. The Centre offers: * INFORMATION AND REFERRALS PHONE, FAX AND COMPUTER ACCESS: Assisting people to find information and support in response to their specific concerns. * ADVOCACY: Working on behalf of individuals and groups who seek assistance in dealing with difficult situations. * SUPPORT AND COUNSELLING: Assisting individuals and families to cope with difficult and stressful life situations. * COMMUNITY EDUCATION: Developing and conducting courses and information sessions as a response to local requests. Various short and long term courses are offered throughout the year including conversational English, Pottery, Craft and dealing with Domestic Violence. * COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Working with people to identify needs to respond to these needs in appropriate ways. The Centre is also home to Nundah Community Legal service, The Nundah Interagency and The Northside Alliance Against Domestic Violence (NAADV)
