About Us
The national mission statement for Neighbourhood Watch is to promote safety, security and quality of life. Neighbourhood Watch is a program organised by the community in order to reduce residential crime. Householders are encouraged to join together in small informal groups for the purpose of improving the safety of their families and other neighbourhood residents. By working together, neighbours can assist each other to reduce crime in their area. Benefits to be derived from the program include: a safer place to live, less fear of crime in the area, and a better lifestyle through sharing responsibilities and caring for others. As there are over 700 groups in Queensland it is suggested that anyone interested in becoming involved contact their local police station for information about the group in their area.
