Here at Nexus Cap, our Speech Pathologists are highly skilled in targeted strategies to improve communication and assist with swallowing of food and liquid.  We know that communication and ability to swallow and enjoy food have a big impact on an individual's quality of life. Difficulty swallowing can cause significant distress, especially when the onset is sudden. WHAT DO OUR SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS DO?

  • Our Speech Pathologists study, diagnose and treat communication disorders, including difficulties with speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, social skills and  voice.  
  • We work with clients with communication difficulties due to developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, learning disability, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, dementia and hearing loss, as well as other functional impairments that can affect speech and language. 
  • Help you with difficulties swallowing food and help you drink safely.
