About Us

BUSHkids is a not-for-profit organisation which has been supporting the health and wellbeing of children and families in Queensland’s regional, rural and remote communities for over 85 years.

BUSHkids provides free preventative and early intervention allied healthcare (both directly and in collaboration with government and other non-government organisations) to children and families who are unable to access services locally due to the unavailability or the affordability of those services.

We specifically aim to help disadvantaged children who are at risk of poor health, educational or social outcomes, reach their full potential.

BUSHkids is committed to ensuring that children and their families have access to the services they need, no matter their location or means. telepractice allows for healthcare to be delivered at a distance using technology such as a laptop, tablet or mobile phone and a good internet connection.

BUSHkids currently offers a range of telepractice services, from individual therapy to group education sessions and webinars. This can take place in a BUSHkids Centre, at home, at school, or at your local community centre.  We call it teleBUSHkids.

teleBUSHkids can offer the same benefits for you and your child as face-to-face sessions: teleBUSHkids is fun, engaging, and interactive.
