About Us
BreastScreen Qld Services are part of the BreastScreen Qld Program that is coordinated by the Cancer Screening Services Unit, Qld Health. For the cost of a local call, women can make an appointment for a breastscreen by phoning 13 20 50. This is a free service.
Women aged 50 to 74 are encouraged to have a breastscreen every two years. Women aged 40-49 and 75+ are also eligible to attend.
Individual and group bookings are available and no doctors' referral is necessary. Staff are available to speak free of charge to community and workplace groups upon request. Interpreters can also be arranged at no cost.
Brisbane Southside services are located at QEII Hospital, Wynnum, Redlands, Cooparoo, Logan, Inala and Browns Plains.
Appointments can be made for any of the above locations by calling 13 20 50. Some early morning, evening & Saturday appointments are available for people who aren't available during business hours.

Languages Women who require interpreter assistance to make an appointment can call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 13 14 50 and ask to be connected to BreastScreen QLD Brisbane Southside Service. On-site interpreters can also be arranged.

Queensland Health Victim Support Service (QHVSS) is a free, state-wide service for you and your family if you, or a member of your family, have been a victim of crime by a person with a mental illness or intellectual disability. QHVSS provides free counselling, support and information before, during and after Mental Health Court. QHVSS has offices in Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns.
