About Us

Play2Learn is a supported playgroup program conducted by Save the Children Australia under the ‘54 Reasons’ branch, as a supported playgroup program for children aged 0-5 and their caregivers.

Play2Learn use weekly high-quality playgroups to foster children's psychosocial development; facilitate school readiness; and improve family wellbeing. It aims to improve early childhood development, parenting skills and connection to community amongst the families that attend. It is simply a place where families who are experiencing challenges of various sorts can come to play with their children, assist their child to be ready for school, develop their parenting skills and connect up with other families and community services. Our playgroups not only benefit children, but also provides caregivers with access to support, connection to community, and the opportunity to learn and grow in their parenting role.

We’re here to make sure that everyone understands their rights, so that children and young people have their rights met and thrive, in all their diversity. We champion the children, young people and families we work with. We are inspired by the curiosity and creativity of children and motivated by the love of those who care for them. With the child’s voice at the centre, we provide quality services to children and their caregivers, advocating with them so that children develop, learn, and are connected, safe and confident.

All families with children aged 0-5 are welcome, no booking required. There is NO cost involved. Morning tea is provided. You can simply pass on our details or get in touch with our friendly and qualified staff on the contact number provided below. Play2Learn also works with other local specialist

Looking at the definitions of playgroups, Playgroups are:

“...regular, informal gatherings of parents and caregivers of children under school age. They provide opportunities for children’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual development while also providing opportunities for parents and caregivers to develop social and support networks to encourage and assist them in their valuable parenting role.

Playgroups help to improve parenting skills and provide safe and supportive environments where parents and caregivers can meet and interact on a regular basis. Playgroups contribute to child friendly communities by raising the awareness of the importance of the early childhood years and providing opportunities for parents and caregivers and other community members to develop their skills and understanding."
