The aim of our program is to enhance relationships between parents and children so that it can be an enjoyable experience for both parent and child.

We run three weekly playgroups with indoor outdoor activities. Please bring your own morning tea, water bottle and hats. We continue to meet during school holidays but shut for four weeks over the Christmas break.

• Thursday open playgroup 9:30 – 12:30 $3 per visit

The Wednesday and Tuesday afternoon will start in July 2016:

• Tuesday young parents under 21 – 9:30 to 11:30
• Tuesday 12:30 to 2pm families/grandparents drop in for a coffee and chat, all welcome.
• Wednesday Mobile playgroup visiting Toogoom, Point Vernon and Urangan. Call for more information.

Play With Your Kids is a program managed by the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre and funded by the Department of Education, Training and Employment. Qualified staff work together to provide you and your children with opportunities to learn through play in a safe and supportive environment.

The objectives of the program are:

• To work in partnership with parents by facilitating playgroups that provide a variety of play experiences and activities that support the physical, emotional and social development of children from birth to prep.
• To provide parenting information and support to parents on a variety of issues and needs.
• Foster opportunities for parents to  develop valuable social networks with other families
