About Us
Our Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides a comprehensive range of services to assist people with both mental health and alcohol and other drug issues. We provide a specialised service for individuals of all ages, directly affected by severe and complex mental illness and/or problematic substance use, as well as promoting mental health and wellbeing in the community.
The service strives to promote recovery and build resilience to reduce the impact of mental illness on individuals, their carers and families. We specialise in community-based treatment provided close to home and are supported by a range of inpatient and residential facilities, depending on the clinical needs of the consumer.
Our Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit provides specialist short-term care and treatment during the acute phase of a person’s illness.
The inpatient unit focuses on the delivery of evidence-based, recovery-focused care through timely admission and discharge, provision of a safe and therapeutic environment, involvement of consumers and carers in care planning, and ensuring linkages to community-based support.
