About Us

The Centre hosts community groups such as a community shed, craft group, games group, sewing group, school holiday program, afterschool program and free bread program.

We provide services, emergency relief and support to all members of the Community including those with a mental illness, disability, indigenous, multicultural groups, seniors, children, families and youth.

Please be advised that our programs are subject to change or can be postponed without notice. Please call the Centre before attending any of these programs. Our most up to date information can be found on our Facebook page.

Munchee Bunch Cafe : Every Monday Get to know your community over brunch. The menu includes low cost item options. 

Sewing Group : An established sewing group meets here at the Centre every Monday from 9am. If you would like more information, please call the Centre and leave a message for Barbara.

Community Shed: Non-perishable food hampers available. Please call the Centre on a Tuesday between 9am and 10am for a Wednesday appointment. Bookings are essential!

Craft Group : Bring your own craft project and enjoy a social environment with like minded people. To become a part of this group please call the Centre and leave a message for Dawn

Computers for Client Use : We have computers available for use of the community. You must sign in at reception before using the computers. If you are needing to print, please be advised that it is 20 cents per page.

After School Program & School Holiday Program : Currently on hold due to volunteer vacancy. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for the most up to date information!

Community Garden : Our Community garden is currently in need of some desperate TLC! If you would like to volunteer your time to get our garden up and running again please send us an email or contact Kym on 07 3812 1270!

Free Bread : Free bread is donated to the Centre every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in partnership with the Movement. Feel free to drop by and pick some up.

The Giving Table : he giving table is for donations to be left for anyone who may need the items given. Anyone is welcome to bring in any excess as a way to “PAY IT FORWARD”. Please bring all donations to reception.

Games Group : Do you enjoy playing board games? Feel free to join in the fun. Games group meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am.

Community Library : Do you love to read? Feel free to take a book, give a book or share a book from our Community Library. You can access the books any time during opening hours from the bookshelves in the foyer.

Street Library : 

Our street library was kindly donated to us by North Ipswich Rotary club. It is accessible from the street at any time of the day. You can come and take a book as you please, and leave one in its place for someone else in our community to enjoy
