Programs tailored to assist clients in learning about the recruitment process and general employment skills in order for them to be successful in obtaining employment. These programs are run in partnership with Employers that can provide guidance and knowledge of industries to better understand recruitment screening and employer expectations.

Access Community Services Limited (Access) is a Job Services Australia (JSA) provider. We offer employment and training programs to assist disadvantaged clients to enter or re-enter the workforce.

We have a specialist focus on migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants from non-English speaking backgrounds. Access is the only Job Services Australia (JSA) provider focused on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) clients, in Queensland

We assist eligible participants* with:

• Acquiring life skills to fit into the Australian work culture
• Job search skills to improve opportunities of finding employment
• Education and training towards jobs, including traineeships and apprenticeships
• Assistance gaining recognition of skills and qualifications
• Building relationships with employers to improve employment options
• Job placement and post placement support
• Mentoring
• Driving lessons
• Licensing
• Uniforms and equipment
• Relocation assistance

* Not all clients will be eligible for the assistance listed above and each client is assessed individually.

Access provides the employment programs for job seekers such as:

• Business and Social Enterprise (BASE) Project – for local enterprises
• Professional Migrant Assistance Program (ProMAP) – assisting highly skilled migrants and refugees to gain valuable Australian workplace experience
• Regional and Rural Employment Opportunities (REAP) – providing employment in industries experiencing a labour shortage in Rockhampton and Biloela
• Generating recovery, optimising workforce (GROW) skills project – providing horticultural skills and employment in the Lockyer Valley
