Hinterland Mental health & Alcohol & other drugs services

Hinterland Mental Health and Alcohol and Drugs  Services provide services specialising in the treatment of individuals who have, or are at risk of developing, a major mental illness or substance abuse problem for people of all ages.

A team of specialised  professionals offers assessment of existing or developing mental health  or alcohol and drug  conditions and provide  therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and community liaison and education.

Mental health services are provided to people of all ages and services the following areas:

• Moranbah
• Clermont
• Dysart
• Middlemount
• Coppabella
• Nebo
• Glenden

A team of mental health professionals offers assessment of existing or possible mental health problems, providing therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and community liaison and education.

The Alcohol and Other Drugs Service offers assessment, brief intervention, case management and education.

People can refer them self, or can be referred by family members or friends, GPs and health professionals or other government or non-government services. The service is a voluntary and is free and confidential.
