Fees & Services

You may be eligible for a Medicare benefit to subsidise this cost.

Bridgette is a registered Medicare Provider to deliver psychological services, so you may be able to claim a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session (leaving a gap payment out of pocket after Medicare benefit). Note: Session fee is to be provided in full by client at the time of appointment, for which a Medicare benefit can subsequently be claimed (in most cases immediately following the appointment).

In order for you to be eligible for a Medicare rebate, a referral must be received directly from your treating doctor such as your General Practitioner (GP), Paediatrician or Psychiatrist with a current Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) prior to your first appointment. Your MHTP will require review typically after the 6th session; your treating doctor and psychologist will liaise to determine if additional sessions are required. Individuals may be able to access Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year (1 January to 31 December) under their MHTP.

Other funding options may be relevant to your situation, such as Private Health or NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme; if self-managed). It is recommended that you discuss this directly with your provider. Additionally, you may be able to access sessions paid via your workplace Employee Assistance program, it is suggested that you contact your Human Resources consultant or Manager to discuss whether this may be applicable.
