parkrun - Underwood Park

We start at the covered area adjacent to the carpark on the west side of the Funderwood Hollow Playground. We head south east up a mild hill along the pathway, with Funderwood Hollow to our left and the netball courts to the right. Continue along the path towards Underwood Road, keeping the netball carpark on our left, and the netball courts on our right. We cross a tiny bridge, turn right into Underwood Road and run along the path to the playground behind Belmore shops, then turn to the right at that intersection. We follow that path almost to Priestdale road, where we turn around at the sign pointing to Morbani Rd and retrace our steps. On the way back, after crossing the tiny bridge again, veer left and head up past the dog parks, which will be on our right. At the next intersection we turn right and head uphill, where the Rochedale Tigers rugby league clubhouse will be on our left and Funderwood Hollow carpark on our right. We turn around just before the clubhouse, then retrace our steps back to the paths near the dog parks. As we approach Underwood Road again, we take a sharp left and head up the hill we came down at the start. As we run uphill, the netball courts will be on our left and netball carpark on our right. We then retrace our steps back towards the finish at the covered area which is after a slight downhill past Funderwood Hollow. Facilities Underwood Park is home to Funderwood Hollow one of the largest playgrounds in Australia. There are two large carparks within 50 meters of the start line and public toilets and water fountains in close proximity. Getting there by public transportBus Route 586 stops on Belmore Dr, near Kallista Rd. Please consult Translink website for up to date timetables before your travel. Getting there on footThe bus stop located on Belmore Dr is approx 1.2km walking distance from the starting area. Getting there by roadHeading south on the M1 (Pacific Motorway), take exit 19 for Rochedale Rd towards Springwood/Underwood. Turn left onto Rochedale Rd then after 1.3km, turn right onto Underwood Rd. Continue for 2.3km to the roundabout and stay on Underwood Rd for another 400m then turn left into Underwood Park. Follow that road for approximately 400m up a hill, down a hill, then at a 4 way intersection turn left. That road will take you to the carpark where we start and finish. Heading north on the M1 (Pacific Motorway), take exit 20 for Logan Rd /Springwood. Use the middle lane and turn right onto Logan Rd at the lights, go under the M1 then turn left onto Rochedale Rd. Continue 500m to Springwood Rd and turn right at the lights. After 1.2km turn left onto Parfrey Rd. At the roundabout take the 1st exit and stay on Parfrey Rd then in 400m turn right onto Stellaris Way and then right again after 220m onto Underwood Rdnd stay on Underwood Rd for another 400m then turn left into Underwood Park. Follow that road for approximately 400m up a hill, down a hill, then at a 4 way intersection turn left. That road will take you to the carpark where we start and finish.
