TransitCare Social Support

At TransitCare we provide transport and social engagement services to assist the elderly, the socially isolated and younger people with disabilities so that they can live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities.  We operate our own fleet of mostly disability accessible vehicles called Community Flyers which are a pre-booked and shared service providing door-to-door transport for our clients.  We care for clients who live in Brisbane South, Logan and Redlands Cities and Townsville and surrounding areas.

The Community Flyers can meet your needs if you are eligible but have difficulty traveling to appointments because you can no longer drive or safely use public transport.  You must still be able to travel independently or with your carer and be happy to travel in shared transport with others.  The Community Flyers are out and about between 7.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.  A carer may accompany you as long as they can be picked up and dropped off at the same address.
