About Us

The Richmond Health Service is an acute facility that provides an accident and emergency service, a general medical/surgical ward, long-stay elder care and daily outpatient session.

  • Visiting school-based youth health nurse
  • ATODS (Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs)
  • Community mental health and social workers through their outreach services
  • Various well-women's clinics staffed by a doctor or nurse
  • Sexual Health
  • RFDS dental

Where possible, the Richmond Health Service offers telehealth appointments for all specialties available at Townsville University Hospital.

Patients may also be eligible for reimbursement of costs incurred when travelling to a different facility for care. You can find more information about the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme here.
