About Us
The national award winning Lake Fred Tritton provides locals and visitors alike with the opportunity to enjoy freshwater based activities such as swimming, skiing, canoeing, sailing, fishing, jet skiing and even snorkelling – activities not normally available in inland towns. The lake also boasts a surrounding walking track, a playground, a water park, extensive lawns with shady trees, free BBQ facilities, clean amenities and the Bush Tucker Gardens. During the warmer months, the lake becomes a central hub for all sorts of fun and recreation for families and during the winter, it is a delightful spot to walk, picnic, or just relax. The lake is stocked with over 18 species of fish by the Richmond Fish Stocking Association and monitored by the Department of Primary Industries & Fisheries. Species include red claw yabbies, barramundi, sooty grunter, sleepy cod, archer fish, forktail catfish and golf grunter.
