About Us

At our Community Care Unit (CCU) we provide medium to long term mental health care and rehabilitation in a supervised residential setting for people aged between 18-65 who are in recovery but require support to transition to independent living. The team at the unit support residents and help them develop skills required to live in the community, such as:

  • Staying well – both physical and mental health including medication management

  • Life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping

  • Community access e.g. using public transport

  • Community linking e.g. to sports or social organisations

  • Return to work or study

Staff at the unit can help the resident with referrals for other supports. They also provide support to families and carers.

The CCU site is made up of:

  • 20 one-bedroom units (including two suitable for use by people with physical disabilities). Each unit has their own:

  • Bedroom
