In Toowoomba AMPARO Advocacy offers free help to people from multicultural backgrounds with disability, their families and communities to build their capacity and learn more about :
- disability rights
- understanding disability in Australia
- gaining confidence to exercise their rights and voice their concerns
- assisting to gain access to mainstream and specialised disability services
- having choice and control when engaging with services.
AMPARO Advocacy officers engages professional language services to work with people requiring an interpreter. We can deliver our free services face-to-face at people's homes or a place they prefer, in small group workshops/discussions with communities.
AMPARO Advocacy has a large range of disability related translated and audio information available.
