About Us
Tackling Regional Adversity through Integrated Care Program (TRAIC Program) - Mental Health/Suicide Prevention Program, covering all of the DDHHS catchment area.
The TRAIC Program provides one on one/group/community support, assessment and education, to those affected by Adversity (drought, floods, bush fires, biosecurity etc).
The program aims to educate and empower rural and remote communities, to increase resilience and mental health literacy and promote help seeking behaviours.
Anyone affected by adversity can be referred to the TRAIC Program and be supported by a senior Mental Health Trained Clinician. Clinicians travel around the Darling Downs to provide Mental Health support to individual's or groups. Clinician's will liaise with GP's and the local Mental Health Service where required, to ensure the best mental health outcomes for each individual.
TRAIC Clinicians also provide Mental Health and Suicide Prevention education to Service Providers in the Community and Hospitals.
