buttonAround 45 minutes drive from Toowoomba on the Darling Downs, Perseverence is an area east of Crows Nest and Pechey, where you can enjoy a barbecue picnic by Perseverence Dam. Opposite Perseverence Lodge is a public park with barbecue facilities and playground equipment. At the Dam itself the picnic grounds is a lovely spot to stop to admire the tranquil waters and the dramatic drop from the roadway across the dam wall. Lake Perseverance is only available for canoeing and water skiing for the Perseverance Aquatic Club and for those participating in organised activities conducted by the Queensland Government Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing. The Lake Perseverance Active Recreation Centre, which is operated by the Queensland State Government, is located near the lake and serves as an excellent accommodation base for those participating in organised activities and for general outdoor education opportunities. The Centre is the ideal location for school and community group camps.
