About Us

The Townsville Thuringowa Softball Association is based at Bicentennial Park on Queens Road in Hermit Park. This facility incorporates four softball diamonds and a centralised shaded area for all participants, families, volunteers and spectators. After enduring considerable damage from cyclone Yasi and flooding in 2011, a competition was not able to be run. With the formation of a new committee and enthusiastic new ideas, softball competition got back up and going in Townsville in 2012. In 2013, we offerered two 8-10 week competitions for women, a mixed junior under 15 competition and mixed Junior under 12 simple softball and T-ball programs. The 2014 season will kick off in February 2014 with a Come & Try/Sign-On Day on Sunday 9th February. We will again be offering a Women's Fastpitch competition, Mixed Junior (Under 15) competition, Simple Softball and T-Ball program. We will also be offering a Men's Fastpitch competition for the first time in many years so get your mates together now! We do everything we can to make our competitions enjoyable, well organised and family oriented, so that everyone can have a great time playing and being involved in softball. If you would love to play or have a passion for softball with ideas and expertise you'd like to throw into the hat to help develop our association and sport, please let us know at [email protected] by joining our Facebook group.
