YWAM - Townsville City

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) international is a movement of separate legal entities with shared values operating in over 180 countries. YWAM and has no centralised headquarters or funding.

In keeping aligned with the worldview and the foundational values of the organisation, YWAM’s Christian ethos endeavours to create policies and procedures that cultivate a healthy organisation to care, connect, serve, and build within individuals and communities.

YWAM Medical Ships Australia & Papua New Guinea (YWAM MS), a non profit, charitable Christian organisation, is a separate entity to YWAM Townsville, a registered training organisation in Australia. YWAM Townsville’s training campus and associated operations are funded completely separately to YWAM MS’ work in Papua New Guinea.  

99.9 Live FM is a community radio station that has been operational in Townsville since 1993. In 2016 YWAM started a more direct partnership with Live FM by providing space at the Townsville City Campus for the development of new studios and office facilities. Live FM is its own entity with the strong support of YWAM Townsville through the provision of volunteers, resources, and training. 

While all of the above entities are financially and legally autonomous, the relationship and collaboration between each organisation is strong – working together around the shared vision to build healthy lives, communities, and nations through various expressions.  

The YWAM Townsville City Campus serves as a resource campus for YWAM MS, 99.9 Live FM, and YWAM Townsville’s training and youth work.
