Mental Health, Alcohol & Other Drugs

Whitsunday Mental Health and Alcohol and Drugs Services provide services for children, youth and adults, specialising in the treatment of individuals who have, or are at risk of developing, a major mental illness or substance abuse problems.

Services are provided to people of all ages and services the following areas:

• Proserpine
• Whitsunday/Cannonvale
• Bowen
• Collinsville

A team of mental health professionals offers assessment of existing or possible mental health problems, providing therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and community liaison and education.

The Alcohol and Other Drugs Service offers assessment, brief intervention, case management and education.

Services provided are free and confidential

How to access this service:

People can refer them self, or can be referred by family members or friends, GPs and health professionals or other government or non-government services. The service is a voluntary and is free and confidential.
