About Us

Hey Tiddas, Sistas and Sista-girls! Have you wanted to start your own business but don't know where to start?

The Tiddas in Business program is a series of culturally appropriate free business activities that introduce entrepreneurship, business, and leadership skills. The activities are led by Indigenous Businesswomen who provide insights, strategies, tools and resources for starting and growing a business.

Business Ready Workshops: Tiddas in Business uses a toolkit that covers topics central to establishing a business, including - how to get started, ABN registration, business names, doing e-business, business structures, forecast + cash flow, strategic planning, insurance, Intellectual Property rights, digital marketing + networking, money, legal advice, scaling your business, exporting. 

Masterclass: Walking in Two Worlds, Communicating with Influence and The Art of Pitching; Business Plan/Capability Statement; Developing Proposals; Cashflow forecast; Marketing & Sales; Cyber Security; Web page development; Business Tax, BAS - working with the ATO; Legal Matters for starting your business, IP and Copyright; Strategic Planning.

Virtual Mentoring Circles: In addition to the topics covered above, there will be informal yarning circles where you benefit from the knowledge of the facilitator as well as from the experiences of other tiddas in business. The sessions are culturally safe and provide opportunities for sharing thoughts and ideas, asking questions, and building supportive relationships with others.

Leadership: By virtue of being in business, an Indigenous businesswomen can be thrust into leadership roles within their communities and subsequently in the broader community. The Tiddas in Business program will provide leadership seminars that focus on developing positive behaviours, investigating leadership styles, influencing others, and developing self-awareness of leadership potential, both individually and collectively.
