Looking down from its high ridge, this traditional country town is surrounded by some of the most scenic views in the area. The 132 kilometre Grand Ridge Road snakes its way through the Strzelecki Ranges. A scenic drive yields fabulous panoramic views. The Grand Ridge Rail Trail between Mirboo North and Boolarra is an easy cycle through flora reserves and large embankments. Crystal clear streams around the town are filled with blackfish and trout. The Tarwin River East and West, Berry's Creek and Turton's Creek are all popular spots for fishing. A wander through town takes in native flora, including the emblematic lily, and beautifully decorated street murals capturing the spirit of the town's early days. Mirboo North is home to the renowned Grand Ridge Brewery, winner of over 100 international beer awards.
