The course commences on the path at the ‘Leaf’ Soundshell in the Botanic Gardens. Keeping Lake Guthridge on your right, the course heads west, turning left to head around Lake Guyatt. Stay on the high path and continue around the lake before turning right just prior to the carpark. Go across the small wooden bridge before continuing around Lake Guthridge. Please exert caution through the two sets of wooden bollards and on the approach and exit of the wooden bridge. The 2500m turnaround point can be found at the fixed ‘2000m marker’ on Foster Street. The course then tracks back in an anti-clockwise direction, retracing the first half Facilities Toilets can be found approximately 100m from the start area. Free parking is available off Montgomery Street in the carpark areas or McMahon Drive adjacent to the swimming pool complex. Childrens playground facilities can be found 100m from the start area in the Fauna Park. Getting There Location of startThe run starts on the path at the ‘Leaf’ Soundshell in the Botanic Gardens. Getting there by public transportFrom the train station (3.2kms away), follow the signs to the town centre and then follow the directions on foot (below). Alternatively take the bus to the Gippsland Centre Sale and then progress through the mall to the Clocktower and follow the directions on foot. Getting there on footFrom the town centre follow the signs from the Clocktower to the Lake Guthridge precinct, continuing south down Raymond Street to Foster Street. Turn left and head east down Foster Street before turning right at the pool down McMahon Drive. The start is approximately 200m from the corner. Getting there by roadIf heading from the Stratford side of town, head south on the Princes Hwy until the roundabout at Foster Street where you need to turn left. Heading from the western side of town, continue along Foster Street on the Princes Hwy, through the roundabout. Continue alongside Lake Guthridge until you reach the roundabout on Guthridge Parade.
