Founded in 1889, this year is the 122 nd in the Society’s 127th year history. This community based event takes place over two days each year in mid-November with the aim of promoting, encouraging and assisting the development of the resources of Albany and the Great Southern Region.

Better Hearing Australia is a non-profit, self-help organisation, providing an important community service of rehabilitation and support for hearing impaired people with an acquired hearing loss. There are branches in every state, with a total membership of 3000. A National Conference is held annually. This group gives assistance with speech-reading and communication skills.

Death Cafe - Albany, WA

Death Cafe is a gathering of people who believe that death is a natural part of life and should be discussed openly, not hidden away and denied. We meet on the last Friday of each month to enjoy coffee and cake and to talk about all aspects of death, dying and bereavement. We have no membership fee, no agenda and are not linked to any business, religion or political group. All welcome.
