Pastoral Community

Pastoral (Unincorporated) Council has an approximate area of 619,000 km².

It is comprised of 40 suburbs including Andamooka, Arkaroola Village, Beltana, Black Hill Station, Blinman, Bungeroo, Cockburn, Ediacara, Farina, Gerard, Glendambo, Iron Baron, Iron Knob, Katunga Station, Kingoonya, Leigh Creek, Lyndhurst, Manna Hill, Marla, Marree, Mingary, Mount Falkland, Mount Havelock, Nanbona and Narlaby plus parts of another 2 suburbs.

It is comprised of 254 localities including Abminga Station, Allandale Station, Alpana, Alton Downs Station, Andamooka Station, Angepena, Angorigina, Anna Creek, Arckaringa, Arcoona, Arkaroola, Ash, Ayers Range South, Bagster, Balah, Baratta, Batchelor, Beltana Station, Benda, Bibliando, Bice, Billa Kalina, Bimbowrie, Bindarrah and Bollards Lagoon plus parts of another 27 localities.

It is surrounded by 28 councils including Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara, Barcoo, Bulloo, Ceduna District, Coober Pedy District, Diamantina, Dundas, Far West, Franklin Harbour District, Goyder Regional, Kalgoorlie/boulder, Kimba District, Loxton Waikerie District, Macdonnell Region, Maralinga Tjatjura, Mid Murray, Municipal Of Roxby Downs, Orroroo Carrieton District, Peterborough District, Port Augusta City, Renmark Paringa, Streaky Bay District, The Berri Barmera, The City Of Whyalla and The Flinders Ranges.

It is comprised of parts of the state electorates of Chaffey, Flinders, Giles and Stuart.

It is within the federal electorate of Grey.
