Meander Valley Community

Meander Valley Council has an approximate area of 3,300 km².

It is comprised of 33 suburbs including Blackstone Heights, Carrick, Caveside, Chudleigh, Cluan, Dairy Plains, Deloraine, Dunorlan, Elizabeth Town, Exton, Golden Valley, Hadspen, Hagley, Jackeys Marsh, Mayberry, Moltema, Montana, Needles, Oaks, Osmaston, Parkham, Prospect Vale, Quamby Bend, Quamby Brook and Red Hills plus parts of another 9 suburbs.

It is comprised of the localities of Meander and Mole Creek plus parts of Central Plateau, Cradle Mountain, Frankford, Lake St Clair, Mersey Forest, Middlesex and Walls Of Jerusalem.

It is surrounded by the councils of Central Highlands, Kentish, Latrobe, Launceston City, Northern Midlands, West Coast and West Tamar.

It is within the state electorate of Lyons.

It is within the federal electorate of Lyons.
