Baw Baw Shire Community

Baw Baw Council has an approximate area of 4,000 km².

It is comprised of 69 suburbs including Aberfeldy, Ada, Allambee, Amor, Athlone, Bona Vista, Boola, Brandy Creek, Bravington, Buln Buln, Buln Buln East, Caringal, Childers, Cloverlea, Coalville, Coopers Creek, Crossover, Darnum, Drouin, Drouin East, Drouin South, Drouin West, Ellinbank, Erica and Ferndale plus parts of another 19 suburbs.

It is comprised of the localities of Baw Baw, Gentle Annie, Jericho, Moondarra, Noojee, Tanjil, Thomson and Toombon plus parts of Toongabbie and Toorongo.

It is surrounded by the councils of Cardinia Shire, Latrobe City, Mansfield Shire, Mount Baw Baw Alpine Resort, South Gippsland Shire, Wellington Shire and Yarra Ranges Shire.

It is comprised of parts of the Narracan state electorate.

It is within the federal electorate of Mcmillan.
